Residents Can Tell City Which Services to Keep
Faced with impending budget cuts, Brea officials are asking residents to tell them which city services are most important to preserve.
The city’s projected shortfall this fiscal year is $706,686 and is expected to increase to $1.1 million next year. If Gov. Gray Davis’ proposed budget is approved, the projected deficit would be $2.7 million next fiscal year.
Input on which services need to be preserved can be e-mailed to tellusbrea@ci.brea.ca.us or provided through the city’s Web site at cityofbrea.net through Feb. 28.
