2 Women Sue Dioceses Over Alleged Sex Abuse
Lawyers for two women who say they were sexually abused by Roman Catholic priests are filing class-action lawsuits against the San Diego and San Bernardino dioceses.
In the San Diego case, the woman accuses Msgr. James T. Booth of sexually assaulting her in 1969-70 while he was at Mission San Diego and she was 15.
The woman in the San Bernardino case accuses Father Franz Robier of sexually assaulting her when she was 13 in 1959-60 at San Anthony’s parish. A diocesan spokesman said he had not received a copy of the lawsuit and could not comment.
