“I watch certain shows, like Drew Carey, Kevin James’ show, ‘The King of Queens,’ and Matthew Perry on ‘Friends.’ The kids watch ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and the Cartoon Network, but ‘Baby Looney Tunes’ -- that ain’t Bugs Bunny to me! My 14-year-old daughter’s favorite station is BET. She loves it -- she’s got to pull on an Allen Iverson jersey, put her cap on backward and wear a bunch of chains around her neck before she’ll empty the trash. But, seriously, she’s a great singer and her favorite singer is Etta James. I also watch these forensics shows -- not that I’d ever do anything wrong, but the way they catch these guys! It’s incredible -- they can take a hair, a drop of sweat or anything and tell you all about a guy. I like these educational shows, because when I see Jay Leno go out on the street and talk to these people out there, it’s scary how stupid these people are -- I mean, you may live in the richest country in the world, but you can’t name the vice president? Come on!”

“I live all over the world so I rely tremendously on television news -- MSNBC, CNN.... I don’t tend to like the personality type of reporting. I want to know that they are a good reporter. I don’t want them to editorialize unless they really know what they’re talking about. And most of them don’t. I’m a wildlife junkie. I so I’m always interested in seeing what somebody else has discovered. I watch Discovery -- that’s why they call it Discovery -- A&E;, Animal Planet for pleasure.”

Actor, “The Parkers”

“Besides my own show -- well, let’s be truthful here. I like ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ and Damon Wayans’ ‘My Wife and Kids.’ But, you know, my guilty pleasure is watching ‘Fear Factor’ and ‘American Idol.’ On ‘Fear Factor’ I like to see them eating the bugs, squirming with snakes and being thrown into a pit or jumping off cliffs. And, well, I watch ‘Idol’ because my kids watch it, so I watch it to be informed and to keep up with the progression of the contestants -- that puts me in the ‘in crowd’ with the kids.”

Actress, “The Parkers”

“I loved ‘The Jeffersons’ -- I loved it. It was funny, but more than that it was the first time that I had seen a big woman that was classy, articulate, attractive and had a man. Wow, I thought. We can do this! Now I watch ‘My Wife and Kids,’ ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ and I’m a big fan of ‘Seinfeld.’ I still watch it now in syndication. And I was a huge fan of ‘Ellen.’ I like to laugh. There’s so much going on in the world now that can make you cry -- just let me laugh! And I don’t want to watch these ‘reality’ shows. They are really too much -- who wants to watch somebody eat dog doo for $1,000 or see somebody get run over by a truck?”
