Pacific (11-10, 6-6) at Long Beach State (4-18, 3-10), 7, KDOC-TV (56) -- This is an important night for Pacific, which has six games to play and is jockeying for playoff position as the Big West Conference tournament approaches. The Tigers are in fifth place in the standings, half a game behind Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and half a game ahead of Idaho. If the season ended today, Pacific would have the daunting task of playing San Luis Obispo in the opening round of the tournament. San Luis Obispo swept the regular-season series with the Tigers. Idaho, meanwhile, lost at Pacific in early January and plays the Tigers at home March 6. All four of Long Beach’s victories were at the Pyramid.
