UC Santa Barbara (13-10, 10-3) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (11-11, 7-6), 5:30, Fox Sports Net 2 -- First-place Santa Barbara holds a one-game lead over Utah State and UC Irvine in the Big West Conference. The Gauchos have won eight of their last nine games but are only 2-2 on the road against conference opponents. Cal Poly forward Varnie Dennis has dropped to second in Big West scoring (17.2 points) but ranks first in rebounding (7.4) and blocked shots (2.3).

Idaho (10-12, 6-7) at UC Riverside (5-13, 4-8), 7, KPRO (1570), KUCR-FM (88.3) -- ast week Idaho guard Dwayne Williams scored a career-high 30 points against Long Beach and 15 against Irvine. With six games left, Riverside senior Mark Miller needs 18 points to reach 1,000 in his career.

Utah State (18-6, 9-4) at Cal State Fullerton (7-15, 5-7), 7, KWRM (1370) -- Junior guard Derick Andrew is the fifth Fullerton player to miss games. He’s out for the season after suffering a hemorrhage in his right eye. Junior Jamal Forcheney as is the only Titan to play in every game this season. One point has decided three of Utah State’s last six games.

Cal State Northridge (10-12, 4-8) at UC Irvine (15-7, 9-4), 7, KUCI-FM (88.9), KCSN-FM (88.5) -- Northridge needs to split its two games this week to stay out of the Big West cellar. The Matadors play at last-place Long Beach on Saturday. Northridge is 2-8 on the road.In his last eight games, Irvine guard Mike Hood has made 23 of 35 three-point shots and leads the Big West in three-point shooting percentage (44.2%). Irvine has won four consecutive games.

WOMEN

UCLA (14-9, 9-5) at California (8-15, 4-10), 7, KBET (850), KTDD (1350) -- The Bruins can pass third-place Arizona and tie Washington for second place with two weeks left in the regular season. UCLA’s Michelle Greco (19.1), shooting for her second Pacific 10 scoring championship, is leading Arizona’s Shawntinice Polk (17.5) and Washington’s Giuliana Mendiola (17.3). UCLA (4-2) and Stanford (5-2) are the only Pac-10 teams with winning records in conference road games.

USC (12-13, 7-7) at No. 9 Stanford (20-3, 12-2), 7 -- The Trojans are going for a sweep of the Cardinal for the first time since 1986-87. USC guard Rometra Craig (15.2) is seventh in the conference in scoring.
