Frist Gives Aid to Survivors of Crash

Incoming Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist stopped minutes after a highway crash, helping tend to the four survivors until paramedics arrived.
Frist, a surgeon, was about 35 miles from Miami and heading to a family vacation home when a sport-utility vehicle going in the other direction rolled over, ejecting all six passengers. The senator from Tennessee helped paramedics and off-duty firefighters stabilize the victims until they were taken to hospitals. Two passengers died.
