Rome to Host Show on ESPN

Jim Rome is returning to television. It will be announced today that the nationally syndicated radio sports talk-show host will begin a weekly one-hour live show, "Rome Is Burning," May 6 for ESPN.

Rome did both his radio show and a daily TV show, "The Last Word," on Fox Sports Net for five years, then gave up TV last year, saying doing both was too time consuming.

At the time, though, he added, "I'm not shutting the door on television."

His new show, Tuesdays at 4 p.m., will originate from Los Angeles. It will feature guest appearances, "Rome's Rants" and a one-minute editorial titled "Rome Alone."
