Psychic, Spouse Get Prison in Tax Case

A self-described psychic and her husband were given federal prison terms Wednesday for failing to report more than $750,000 in income to the Internal Revenue Service.
Sonia Merino, 50, operator of Sonia Psychic Advisor, was sentenced to one year and a day in prison.
Her husband, Steve Merino, 44, who managed the business, received an 18-month term.
The Merinos also were ordered to make restitution to 13 former customers and to pay back taxes and penalties to the IRS.
