UC Santa Barbara Wins, Extends Streak to Six

Lindsay Taylor scored 16 points and Brandy Richardson grabbed 10 rebounds as No. 18 UC Santa Barbara beat host Cal State Northridge, 77-43, Thursday night for its sixth straight win.

Santa Barbara (12-2, 5-0 Big West Conference) led, 42-17, at halftime and was never seriously challenged in the second half.

Ofa Tulikihihifo and Brezya Rhodes scored 17 points apiece for Northridge (1-14, 1-3).

UC Santa Barbara got off to an unusually slow start and led 8-6 at the 14:01 mark. But the Gauchos went on a 24-4 run to go up, 32-10, with 5:31 remaining in the half.

Northridge went stretches of 5:24 and 3:32 without scoring in the second half.
