No One Does Nothing Better Than the Kings

Share

An open letter to the Kings’ Ed Roski, Philip Anschutz, Tim Leiweke and Dave Taylor:

Last summer, the Kings did nothing in the way of signing free agents as management continually stressed the bottom line was more important than the Stanley Cup. Other NHL teams spent the necessary dollars to improve their teams and try for postseason success.

Flash forward to the present, where the Kings are floundering near .500 and out of the playoffs as of this writing. Games are selling out as we fans do our part, so community apathy is not an excuse. The team has been hurt by injuries to key personnel, but wouldn’t some of these summer free agents have better filled in for hurt players than minor league recalls?

When my season-ticket renewal form arrives this summer, I will show the same dedication to the team that management has shown its fans.
