A bus slammed into a Bolivian mountainside, killing 28 people and injuring at least 30, officials said.
The crash happened Saturday night outside Cochabamba, about 150 miles southeast of the governmental capital, La Paz, said Cochabamba Transit Director Jose Luis Orellana.
The bus was traveling to Tarija, a city near the border with Argentina, when the driver apparently lost control on a bend in the road and slammed into the mountainside, Orellana said.
