2 Firefighters Injured in Radio Station Blaze
From Times Staff Reports
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries Friday when a blaze swept through the second story of the Radio Free Vietnam building in Garden Grove, causing about $250,000 in damage.
Authorities said the 9:30 a.m. fire in the 12700 block of Brookhurst Street started in the kitchen. “It appears to be accidental,” said Garden Grove Battalion Chief David Barlag.
The two injured firefighters -- one had a twisted knee, the other minor burns -- were treated at a hospital and released.
