From Times Wire Reports

A man who tricked senior citizens into investing in nonexistent movie productions has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison.

From the early 1990s to his arrest in 2000, Princeton Hummingway of Beverly Hills posed as a big-time movie producer in need of investors, said Assistant U.S. Atty. Mark Krotoski.

An 86-year-old Placerville man and a 73-year-old Fresno man sent Hummingway nearly $230,000, according to court papers.
