Small Planes Collide, Crash; 4 Are Killed
Two small planes collided over a residential neighborhood in northwest Denver, killing all four people on the aircraft and scattering debris into yards and homes, authorities said. Seven people on the ground, including a 2-year-old, suffered minor injuries.
A twin-engine Piper Cheyenne II crashed into a yard, narrowly missing a house. Two people died in that plane, said Denver Manager of Safety Tracy Howard. The other plane, a single-engine Cessna 172 Skyhawk, crashed into a house. It was not clear whether anyone was in the house.
