“Charlie’s Angels” director McG has announced his next movie, and he’ll still be working with well-built boy toys. This time it’s Hot Wheels.

Ending a year of negotiations, Sony’s Columbia Pictures has acquired movie rights to the famous Mattel cars. The studio has no screenplay, stars or release date but hopes to make its Hot Wheels film within the next several years. McG, whose “Charlie’s Angels” sequel opens June 27, said in a news release he wants to make a movie with “all the warmth and humanity of your favorite James Dean movie.”
