A mother missing from her Buena Park home for three days was back with her family Thursday after undergoing mental and physical evaluations by doctors.

Ruxandra Brasov, 25, told police that she had been “stressed out and needed some personal time to get her life together,” said Sgt. Richard Pena, a spokesman for the Buena Park Police Department. “[Investigators] found that she was OK and there was no criminal activity. She said that she was very stressed but that she feels better now.”

Brasov disappeared about 7:30 p.m. Sunday after asking a friend to help her get her disabled car home to Buena Park. As the friend followed her in a separate car, police said, the two became separated; Brasov never made it home. Her 1993 Ford Tempo sedan was found 28 hours later abandoned in Fullerton.

Late Wednesday, Pena said, two good Samaritans found the woman -- whom they recognized from media reports -- wandering dazed outside a Target store in Anaheim.

Brasov told police that she didn’t remember what had happened to her and couldn’t account for a bump they found on her head, Pena said. “She said she had some very bad family problems but they’re going to be worked out now,” he said.
