Four members of the San Diego City Council have reimbursed the National Football League for free Super Bowl party tickets that may have been worth as much as $400.

Mayor Dick Murphy and City Council members Scott Peters, Toni Atkins and Jim Madaffer said they sent checks to the NFL for the Jan. 24 party in San Diego, which hosted the Super Bowl.

Ethics Commission officials told council members in May that the tickets could be worth $350 to $400 each, based on data from the NFL.
