Stars at the Falls

The tony Sunset Strip restaurant and club the Falls has a slamming new Tuesday scene, and its Friday-night bash is turning into a mega-star soiree. Recent guests included sexy singer Enrique Iglesias, the bomb-diggity diva Queen Latifah and hot band Coldplay.... We popped by the Cadillac Club at Goldfingers on a recent Thursday and got jolted by the White Trash Debutantes, whose cross-dressing singer, Ginger Coyote, left us howling at the moon.... Promoter Chuck Pacheco is taking over Saturdays at the old Coconut Teaszer, which is being revamped. He’s behind the bomb Wednesdays at Belmont on La Cienega Boulevard and an upcoming Friday at the Concorde club on Cahuenga.... I ran into doorman extraordinaire Steven Harlow, who says that playa with the ill skillz, Kobe Bryant, was kicking it at Dolce on Saturday night, and speaking of Melrose Avenue restaurants, the new, upscale Mexican joint Santo Coyote is holding a way cool Thursday shindig called Cocky ....Word is the Highlands club is jumping off on Thursdays and Saturdays.

A sutra to suit ya

The Davis Brothers, who own A.D. and the Lounge and are revamping the Hyatt on Sunset, are turning their La Cienega nightclub, the Gate, into a sexy new spot called Kama Sutra. Look for its erotic debut later this summer.... The Valley’s getting so hot that one of the owners of the famed Hollywood bar, the Room, is opening a new spot on Van Nuys Boulevard called Coda. Yeah man.... And we hear Chinatown has a red-hot new bar called the Mountain.... Veteran nightclub booker Len Fagan says the Aussie band Porcelain and the Lancaster group Off Limits -- both of which he had in Club Lingerie last week -- are two of the best bands he’s seen in 15 years.... Time to fear the puppet: On July 12, Puppet Terror magazine takes over the Key Club for a night of life-sized marionettes and cagey ventriloquists.

Park this

Speaking of dummies, attendants were charging clubbers $20 on a recent Thursday at the lot south of Wilshire Boulevard across from the El Rey even though the posted fee was $7. And the parking lot between Goldfingers and Concorde charges Goldfingers guests $5 and Concorde guests $10. To top it off, attendants at the nearby White Lotus club seem to work on a sliding scale. If you balk at the price, they reduce it. Well, at least there’s no parking on the dance floor.
