A Rousing Homecoming for 600 U.S. Soldiers
From Times Wire Reports
Family members toting banners and American flags gathered at Ft. Stewart to welcome home 600 soldiers returning from Iraq.
It was the largest homecoming at the base since the 3rd Infantry began deploying 16,500 soldiers to the Persian Gulf last year. Most of the arriving soldiers belong to the 24th Corps Support Group, which supplies front-line soldiers with fuel, water and other provisions.
