D.A. Recall Backers Look to a March Vote

Supporters of an effort to recall Humboldt County Dist. Atty. Paul Gallegos say they don’t have enough signatures to get a measure on the November ballot, so now they’re setting their sights on qualifying the recall vote in time for March 2004.
The proponents needed to submit about 11,100 valid signatures to the county elections office by today to have a chance of getting the recall on the November ballot.
