2 People Die in Karachi Bombing
A powerful bomb shattered windows in a 10-story office building in Pakistan’s troubled port city of Karachi, killing a security guard and another person, police and witnesses said.
Explosives experts and dozens of police were at the scene rummaging through the debris for clues at the site on the main boulevard into Karachi from its international airport. No one immediately claimed responsibility for the blast, and police refused to speculate. Karachi has been the scene of bitter ethnic, political and sectarian strife.
