Suspect in Robbery of Restaurant Sought
Police are searching for a man who robbed a Dairy Queen restaurant at gunpoint Wednesday night.
Police said the man entered the business on West Channel Islands Boulevard shortly after 9 p.m. and flashed a black semi-automatic handgun from under his sweatshirt. The restaurant owner opened a cash register and gave him an undisclosed amount of money.
The man was described as 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-9, with medium build and complexion and three dots tattooed near his left eye. He wore a gray, hooded sweatshirt and tan shorts.
Anyone with information is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 385-8255 or Port Hueneme police at 986-6530. There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to a conviction.
