Rocking the pavilion

Re “Big-City Hall Marks,” by Paul Lieberman, July 6: Hallelujah! The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion looks like it will increase the rock, blues and jazz concerts there? This is what I have been hoping for! The classical snobs can have Disney Hall. They are welcome to it. I want the Chandler to become the Fillmore East of L.A. Since the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and the Ambassador Auditorium of Pasadena no longer get used much anymore, L.A. needs a great indoor concert hall for something other than classical and operatic music. L.A. concert promoters, anytime you want to start booking again at the Santa Monica Civic and the Ambassador, please feel free to do so.
