TONIGHT
vs. Houston, 7:30
Fox Sports Net 2, NBATV
Site -- Staples Center.
Radio -- KPLS (830).
Records -- Sparks 16-3, Comets 10-8.
Record vs. Comets --1-0.
Update -- The Sparks, riding a four-game winning streak after a double-overtime win against Phoenix on Tuesday, don’t need to be reminded that Houston beat them twice on their floor last year. The Comets had won four in a row until Seattle defeated them Tuesday, dropping Houston into a third-place tie with Minnesota. But Houston still has won five of its last seven and appears ready to make a second-half run. Comet forward Tina Thompson (18 points a game), sidelined since July 7 because of a left ankle sprain, began practicing Wednesday and could be available tonight. The Sparks won the June 24 meeting between the teams in Houston, 71-62.
Tickets -- (213) 480-3232 or (877) 962-2849.
