Another marriage ends for Lewis

Jerry Lee Lewis, known for hits such as “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On,” and his sixth wife, Kerrie McCarver Lewis, are suing each other for divorce.
The 67-year-old singer filed a divorce petition April 16 in DeSoto County, Miss., Chancery Court. Kerrie McCarver Lewis sued in May. Until recently, Lewis and his 40-year-old wife -- president of Lewis’ JKL Enterprises Inc. fan club -- lived together at a 40-acre ranch near Nesbit, Miss.
The couple were married in 1984; they have a 16-year-old son, Jerry Lee Lewis III. It was her second marriage.
