3 Arrests in Detention of Illegal Immigrants
From Times Wire Services
Three men faced charges of transporting and harboring illegal immigrants after authorities found 29 immigrants crammed into an Austin house.
The immigrants, most from Honduras and Mexico, told police the men were holding them until relatives or friends paid $1,500 to $1,800 for bringing them across the border, the U.S. attorney’s office said.
Erik Angeles-Mendoza, 21, Daniel Angeles-Mendoza, 22, and Felipe Ceron-Espinoza, 20, were in federal custody.
