Two hand grenades exploded outside a U.N. police station in the province of Kosovo, killing one person and injuring four, officials said.

The blasts occurred in the ethnic Albanian part of the divided town of Kosovska Mitrovica, 25 miles northwest of Pristina, the provincial capital, U.N. spokesman Gyorgy Kakuk said. It was the third attack in a week on a police station staffed by U.N. and local police.

U.N. officials had said they thought the previous attacks were linked to the conviction last week of four former ethnic Albanian rebels for war crimes.
