Neighbor Arrested After 3 Are Shot Dead at Party
A Miami Beach man opened fire on guests at a noisy birthday party in his apartment building, killing three people and wounding two others, police said. Kevin Evers, 41, fled and was later arrested at his parents’ house in Sunrise, north of Miami. He was being held at the Miami-Dade County Jail.
The victims were attending a birthday party at an apartment where loud music was playing. Police allege Evers, who lives in an apartment upstairs, got into an argument with some guests about 4 a.m. before pulling out a gun and shooting.
