He’s a journalist?

So Bob Simon’s field producer organizes and writes his interview questions. Can journalism get any tougher? (“Life in the Cross Hairs,” Feb. 23)

May we next have a Calendar piece about a print reporter, who finds his own sources, asks his own questions and then must write his own story against a deadline? Your readers might be surprised to learn that such things happen.

Thank you for Howard Rosenberg’s write-up on Bob Simon and Linda Gradstein. The answer to the Middle East conflict is obviously too long and painful in coming, but learning about these two people who defy boundaries, traverse Israeli and Palestinian cultures, beliefs, identities and safety zones to present all voices was an excellent way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
