A pizza delivery driver was arrested Monday for allegedly striking two 14-year-olds, seriously injuring one of them, in a North Tustin intersection, then fleeing the scene.

Chris Baysinger, 19, of Orange was booked at Orange County Jail on suspicion of felony hit and run. “He confessed,” California Highway Patrol Officer Ken Yoon said.

Baysinger was arrested after a neighbor, who had learned of the accident, saw damage to the vehicle and called police.

Yoon said Baysinger was delivering pizza Saturday when he hit the two teenagers crossing Holt Avenue in a marked crosswalk south of Vanderlip Avenue.

Kaylee Mudge of Orange was taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana in critical condition with serious head injuries. Jed Gableman of Santa Ana was released after being treated for a dislocated shoulder, fractured arm and fractured leg.
