Temporary Deal Made on Radioactive Waste

The U.S. Department of Energy agreed to suspend out-of-state shipments of radioactive trash to the Hanford nuclear reservation in south-central Washington for 45 days. The deal was signed by lawyers for the U.S. Department of Justice and the state attorney general’s office for court approval.
