Russians Drop Suit Against Magazine
From Times Wire Reports
Forbes magazine lawyers told a court in London that allegations the publication made in a 1996 article about Russian businessman Boris Berezovsky were false. Forbes accepts that “it was wrong to characterize Mr. Berezovsky as a mafia boss,” lawyer David Hooper said in a statement to the court made jointly with Berezovsky.
Forbes agreed not to repeat claims made in the article about Berezovsky and Nikolai Glouchkov. As a result, the two men said they would drop a libel action.
