Prima ballerina Darcey Bussell may have to pull out of a Royal Ballet production of “The Sleeping Beauty” because of a foot injury, the company said.
Bussell was dancing the title role of Princess Aurora in the Tchaikovsky ballet when pain from a muscle injury forced her to retire before the end of Saturday’s performance at London’s Royal Opera House. Marianela Nunez completed the performance.
Bussell, 33, was undergoing physiotherapy Monday, and hoped to recover before a Saturday performance.
