From Times Wire Reports

A Saudi student accused of visa fraud has ties to two radical sheiks who support violence against the United States and should not be released before trial, federal prosecutors in Boise argued.

Sami Omar Al-Hussayen is accused of false statements on student visa applications and helping set up Web sites to raise money for terrorism.

Assistant U.S. Atty. Kim Lindquist said phone taps and e-mails showed the University of Idaho student was in close contact with Saudi sheiks Salman Al-Ouda and Safar Al-Hawali.
