Stone Doesn’t Play Again
Louisville center Marvin Stone was not cleared by the NCAA to play in the Cardinals’ 82-66 victory over Tulane on Thursday in the Conference USA tournament in Louisville, Ky.
The school announced the decision less than an hour before the game was to start.
Stone, a senior transfer from Kentucky, sat out two earlier games while his amateur status was investigated by the NCAA.

St. Bonaventure appointed former basketball player Paul Grys to be interim athletic director.
Grys, a retired IBM executive, replaces Gothard Lane, who is on administrative leave pending the school’s investigation into the men’s basketball program. Lane has been told that his contract will not be renewed.
