Sex abuse survivors and Los Angeles prosecutors urged Catholic bishops Wednesday to support legislation that would stop the clock on the statute of limitations in pending priest molestation cases.

Outside Parker Center, abuse victims demonstrated in support of a bill to extend the deadline for prosecuting such cases.

Prosecutors said a dozen cases are in jeopardy because of delays by the church in disclosing files on problem priests.
