Mayor Drops Effort to Delay Landfill Request
Mayor James K. Hahn has dropped an effort to delay processing an application to expand the Sunshine Canyon Landfill.
City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo had warned that the delay effort could allow the state to approve the expansion over the city’s objections.

Two weeks ago, Hahn told city officials to withhold approval of the expansion and not forward the application to the state until the city attorney had studied the city’s legal options.
