Jonathan Fersht, Agoura: Threw a two-hitter with seven strikeouts in a 6-0 victory over Simi Valley Royal in a Marmonte League game.

Joel Weeks, West Torrance: Threw a four-hitter with seven strikeouts for the No. 18 Warriors in a 4-1 victory over No. 6 Peninsula in a Bay League game.

Erich Files, Pasadena: Had two hits and two RBIs and threw a five-hitter in a 5-1 victory over Glendale in a Pacific League game.

Jaime Ballesteros, Malibu: Pitched four innings to earn the victory and had three hits and five RBIs in a 16-1 victory over Ojai Nordhoff in a Frontier League game.

Tawni Baker, Brea Olinda: Threw a one-hitter with 12 strikeouts and had three hits in 2-0 win over Aliso Niguel at the Canyon tournament.

Jenna Maiden, Santa Maria Righetti: Pitched a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts in a 6-0 victory over Arroyo Grande in a Pac-5 League game.

Alessandra Giampaolo, Pasadena Poly: Had two hits, including an RBI triple, and scored in a 2-0 upset of Hacienda Heights Wilson in the El Monte Arroyo tournament semifinals.

SWIMMING

Kevin McCoy, Fountain Valley: Won the 50 freestyle in 22.30 and the 100 freestyle in 48.92 in an 88-79 nonleague win over Lake Forest El Toro.

BOYS’ TENNIS

Grant Robertson, Santa Barbara: Swept in singles, 6-4, 6-0, 6-2, for the No. 4 Dons in 15-3 nonleague victory over Westlake.
