Former Army General Sentenced in War Crimes

From Times Wire Reports

A Croatian court sentenced a former army general to 12 years for the 1991 killings of 50 Serbian civilians, ending the nation’s highest-profile war crimes trial.

Judge Ika Saric, who presided over the case of Maj. Gen. Mirko Norac, 35, and three other defendants, said the evidence proved they organized and carried out executions of civilians in Croatia’s 1991-95 war for independence from Yugoslavia.
