2 Killed in Redondo Law Office
Two men, possibly a lawyer and a paralegal, were shot to death in a law office in Redondo Beach on Wednesday night.
Police received a call about multiple shots fired in the Plaza Riviera building at Avenue I and South Catalina Avenue at 5:45 p.m.
Ryan Okabe, who works in the building, told KTLA-TV Channel 5 that he heard five gunshots.
“I got under the desk,” Okabe said. “I smelled gunpowder and I realized then it wasn’t a joke.”
Redondo Beach police investigators said others who were in the building at the time of the shooting were being interviewed late Wednesday.
A lawyer who works in the building said both victims were older men; he said at least one of them worked in the offices.
Police did not release the victims’ identities and released no information about who the gunman was or why the men were killed.
