From Times Wire Reports
The California Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to review Berkeley’s decision to discontinue free berthing at the city’s marina for a group affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America.
The justices agreed in their private conference to hear the challenge by the Sea Scouts.
The nonprofit group is fighting a 1998 city decision that halted free berthing because of the Boy Scouts’ membership and leadership policies against gays. Other nonprofits are eligible for free berthing.
