THE WEEK AHEAD: 3 GAMES

Tuesday vs. Utah, 7:30 p.m. -- The Clippers get a look at the team that covets the services of point guard Andre Miller, a potential free agent at season’s end. At least, that’s one theory on what will happen if John Stockton decides to retire.

Friday at Seattle, 7:30 p.m. -- Two teams expected to be competing for a playoff berth now find themselves playing out the string. The SuperSonics got a jump-start on their rebuilding process by dealing Gary Payton for Ray Allen.

Saturday vs. New York, 7:30 p.m., Channel 5 -- Keep an eye on Latrell Sprewell, who set a league record with nine-for-nine three-point shooting during the Knicks’ victory Feb. 4 at Madison Square Garden. The Clippers’ perimeter defense has not improved since then, so a repeat certainly is possible.
