Homeless Man Set Afire a Week Ago Dies
From Times Wire Reports
The homeless man who was set on fire in Salinas last weekend died early Friday, police said.
Charles Thomas, 57, was doused with a flammable liquid and set ablaze May 10 while he was sleeping. He woke up to find himself in flames. Police are treating the death as a homicide.
“We don’t have a motive. We’re just trying to re-create what happened in the victim’s life in the day or two before the incident to find a possible suspect,” said Salinas Police Lt. Henry Yoneyama.
