Victim Dies of Injuries Days After Car Crash

An 87-year-old man died Friday from injuries sustained in a car accident last week that also killed his wife, the coroner’s office said.
Robert Kennedy of Fountain Valley was driving a car that was broadsided Oct. 29 while making a left turn at Ward Street and Slater Avenue, a coroner’s spokesman said.
He had been in critical condition and died at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
His wife, Helen Kennedy, 88, died in the emergency room of Fountain Valley Regional Medical Center after the crash.
