Holiday closures

Government: Offices of the city of Los Angeles, the county and the state will be closed Thursday and Friday. Most libraries and schools will also be closed. Banks and federal government offices will be closed Thursday, as will post offices, though Express Mail will be delivered.
Transportation: MTA buses and trains will follow Sunday schedules on Thursday. For the first time on a Thanksgiving Day, Metrolink train service will be offered between Los Angeles and San Bernardino, and between Irvine and Riverside. Trash: City of Los Angeles residents whose pickup day is Thursday will have their trash collected Friday, and those whose pickup day is usually Friday will be scheduled for Saturday.
