Prime Minister Tony Blair defended the campaign to topple Iraqi President Saddam Hussein in an address to his Labor Party in Bournemouth.

“Attack my decision, but at least understand why I took it” and would again, Blair said.

The speech drew a huge ovation but failed to silence critics. “Where was the regret that there is no evidence of weapons of mass destruction?” asked party member Mick Moriarty.
