UCI Renames Library After Donor Langson
From Times Staff Reports
UC Irvine’s main library on Tuesday was renamed the Jack Langson Library after a Newport Beach businessman whose donation will be used to enhance its research facilities.
Although university officials declined to disclose the amount of the contribution, “we don’t name buildings unless it’s substantial,” said Gerald J. Munoff, university librarian.
Langson is president and owner of the Investment Building Group, a real estate development company. An Oct. 16 ceremony is set for a dedication.
