School Vouchers

Share

Kurt Page (letter, Sept. 30) wonders “how using taxpayer money to teach children religious dogma is not a government endorsement of religion.” That has a very simple explanation. Does the government tell people which particular type of school to send their child to with their voucher? If not, then the government is not endorsing any religion. Separation of church and state means only that the government will not endorse any one particular religion or church, as it had in England. Liberals today will endorse only an atheistic religion in the public schools.
