Woman Dies After Fall From Drawbridge
From Times Wire Reports
A woman walking across a 78-foot-long drawbridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale fell to her death when the bridge was opened for a passing boat.
Police Det. Clinton Ward said the bridge tender didn’t see the woman as she crossed the span. Ward said a witness saw the woman hanging onto the bridge and then falling.
Two joggers found the woman dead on the pavement at the base of the bridge.
