Re “Goodwill Suffers During a Pay Protest in Baghdad,” Oct. 6: When will Americans realize that not everyone in the world speaks English, especially those who live in their own nation with their own language? And that repeating something again and again in English, each time louder than the previous time, will not cause you to be better understood.

We need to start appreciating the wonderful diversity of human speech.
